I have an unusual affinity for ancient Sumerian culture and artifacts. As a teenager, I used to visit the Penn Museum of the University of Pennsylvania to look at the collections from the Royal Cemetery in Ur. https://www.penn.museum/sites/expedition/ur-and-its

The eyes are photo transfers of the large lion's eyes from the Royal Tombs of Ur, which I encased in polymer treated lids and hung from wooden sticks intermixed with an occasional eye idol from the same area. Often lapis lazuli and gold were used in artifacts, thus my blue lapis colored pounded amaté paper and golden mesh textile.
